MUSIC

SOLLICITUS ES VERITATEM

In Stone Machine Electric’s latest release, these two gents build on the previous jam-based albums – the Garage Tape and The Amazing Terror EP. The duo merge the slow and ominous riffs of their song writing style with improvised grooves locked inside them to pull you into their realm and take you on a tour of your own mind. The five tracks of Sollicitus Es Veritatem compose one cohesive journey from fire to dreams and back.

As a follow up to “Awash in Feedback”, Stone Machine Electric went into the studio and recorded their self-titled, full length debut. This 5 song, 40 minute block of heavy groove imbued goodness came to life at Crystal Clear Sound with Kent Stump of Wo Fat (Small Stone Records) at the helm. If anyone could capture Stone Machine Electric’s sound, it was Kent. Building on the foundation of Awash in Feedback, Stone Machine Electric incorporates those beginnings and layers its heaviness with inclusion of the low end that feeds the grooves, dusted with hints of blues, psychedelia, and prog rock. This mixture places them into another realm of heavy that floats from one luminous body to the next, making you wonder where their next junket will end up, and you’ll want to be there.

Recorded live at a show in Fort Worth, TX, Awash in Feedback serves as the band's offical demo.

Improvised in Kitchens’ garage, Stone Machine Electric recorded what a slice of a jam session is in their practice space. Recorded by Erik Carson/Tin Can Records, these jams weave in and out of consciousness, glazing the listener with tonal build-ups and tearing out landscapes with riff-laden precision. “Garage Tape” demonstrates how to lose your head and see what happens.

This release is a first in a series of live shows to be released online. The releases in this series will be for free, or you can pay what you want if so inclined.
